I finally got my ROP Le off the of the work bench.  Here's a couple of beam shot's on my basement wall.  Both are tight focus at a distance of 12'.  First one is straight up and the second shot is under exposed by one stop.  Im using a Litho MS.

Ok. I made a mistake.  Im using a Litho medium stipple.  Here's a couple of pics.  You can see what the MS reflector looks like.

The realtor in me is noticing the nice poured concrete foundation walls.   :laughing7:

Can you use protected 18650's to prevent the over-discharging?

(I know, where's the fun in that 8))

Hello Tacfolder and wellcome to FF!

The protected 18650's protection circuit will trip with the ROP "high" bulb (4 Amps).  You could probably get by with the "low" bulb though (1.8 Amps).

Well Gents,
I made my first real hotwire mod, a ROP LE last night! Man, this is cool! I am only running the low bulb right now, I must get a reamed out reflector to fit the high bulb. But, if this is the low than holy schnikes! I cant imagine the high! Running a 2c with 2 AW protected 18650's, camless MOP reflector, Borofloat lens. I definitely want to get some unprotected cells and a reflector for the high. I experimented with different sized washers to shim the bulb height, now its set and "Surefire-esque" but still throws! Now I see what all the fun is about! Thanks Lightstream.

Regards.

Fun Light that keeps its charge!

Litho123 reflectors come stock to run either bulb too.
