On a recent trip, I brought:
...
2 Innova X5s, red and blue, to shine on the mirror ball.
5 (of the 30 I own) CK Sauce Lights, for ambience
...

in fact, here's a picture. the red x5 is predominating cuz i was running it on R123 :)

I usually bring my Peak AAA with DmO mod head along with either a LC or LH.

The Peak will soon be replaced by a Nano as soon as I get it ;)

I think the operative word, there, Andrew is "soon."  Sure hope that's true.  I can't remember when I've waited this long for a light.  Sounds like it'll worth it, though.

well i was doing some research and i started feeling less bad when i've found numerous other light projects that took similar time-frames to complete.. .what's frustrating to me is that i've had most of the parts since January and as you saw in the nano thread recently ... the initial order for the drivers went in in APRIL! yikes.. april! fortunately i've learned what things have tripped up that process so the BAM order when it goes in will not take nearly so long... i keep checking my checking balance to see a drop of $1500 or so to let me know the order is on the way back to me.

If it is a driving vacation then one mag mod of some sort For sure and probably a VIP or LC or most likely a McLuxIIIPD for the pocket and a LION charger in the car.
If it is a flying vacation then just a McLuxIIIPD and a Surefire special lithium battery carry case full of 6 fresh batteries.

James, it doesn't surprise me that you have a McLux III-PD in either scenario.   :D

I recently took the family camping and I assembled a "light pack":

2x MiniPro TW0J Minimags
1x 2D Mag TX1J with a VIP driver at 830mA
1x PT Attitude
1x 4LED China Light
1x MJLED MiniMag
1x Brunton Lantern (retrofitted w/ Nichia CS LEDs)
1x old model ArcAAA (retrofitted w/ the Nichia CS LED)

There were some amazing light saber effects with the campfire smoke (especially with the 2D VIP mod!)

My brother on the east coast just purchased his first LED light.  I will be heading that way in August and will have to take a few lights to "demo" for him.  I may throw together a MiniPro kit for him (I have a couple awaiting assembly  :D).

I'm just heading out on a short vacation tomorrow. I'm taking:
1) CPF LH
2)Aleph 2
3)Bare Aluminum Lioncub
4)Orb Raw
I won't need any more than this for a weekend, will I?

I'm going to have to pick up one of these PD's soon...it seems like everyone that get one loves it and I haven't seen one sell secondhand yet. I wish the U bins were still available.

Yep, they're pretty nice lights, but don't beat yourself up over not being able to get a U-bin.  I have one in U-bin as well as one in T-bin, and IMHO the T-bin has a better beam.

Depends how much space there is to the airline luggage limit and wether there will be opportunity to recharge Pila cells.
Can't go without the Inova 24/7, Aleph2 NexGen500 and L4.
On a Pila holiday, probably the LionHeart and GL3R.
The Aleph3 likes to see the world as well and the TriStarPhazer never fails to raise a smile.
On a recent hike in the rain my Petzl Tikka Plus took on some water, switched itself on and I had to dry it out for a few days before I could switch it on and off again.

Well.  I am going on vacation next week and I have to decide what lights to bring.  Not only that I have to bring extra lights for my friend to use.  I really hope I do not bring all of them.

My thoughts currently

-HDS U60
-Aleph 3 (DB500 or DB917)
-Aleph 1 or LionHeart
-LionCub
-Surefire U2
-JiL DD
-TNC AA (200mA or 350mA)
-I am hoping to have my NEOCA lights
-Arc AAA
-Maybe my 3C mag mod by 3rd Shift

gotta go wife's hungry, mean look in my direction...
