KANSAS received Ti AREOCUB

Hey Griff, now There's a new name for us - the AREOLA CUB...:evil6:

Thanks all for acknowledging receipt so far.  To Karl and the as-yet-unreceived others, our postal system works in strange ways...

BTW, these incredibly beautiful (except mebbe the color) and meticulously crafted sheaths were produced by none other than our very own M-thew (sp?), and the lights slide in and seat with a satisfying-yet-soft "click", due in no doubt to the extra effort that went into the making of those wooden body forms around which each holster was precisely shrunk to exact size.

Got a few unique "in drag" holster pitchers for two speshul members of the AeroCub Club.  See if you can guess who they are...hee hee:

Side by side:

One's from a famous state:

The other likes his skunk stripe:

Note the speshul custom wooden Cub bodies included at no extra charge:

And there ya have it - about forty AeroCubs are aero'ing their separate ways over the ocean to their new owners - just a few left ta pack and ship now...

Thanks for appreciating what I went through to ensure timely completion of this project Griff; I'm just plumb burned out with makin' lights right now...

I could be wrong, indeed I revel in the frequency that I am...........but far from being Aero, a couple of these Cubs will be in pure Drag :P!!!!!!!

Am I right Charlie? ;) Pics appreciated :P

EDIT: Some coverage just sent for PP charges.

Drag, huh?  I am in the middle of finishing up testing the lights and then will begin to pack, but not to worry it'll be pitchers soon after that...:naughty:

Yeah, I'm real sorry guys, back when I was dreaming up all this stuff I had no idea there would someday be a whole little Bulk product subculture springing up around my lights...:dontknow:

Mebbe I'll write a book someday...

UPDATE 10-5-08

Waal...in checking the PayPal receipts vs. the List I found a couple of discrepancies, NOT the fault of our listkeeper but myself for "ass-uming" a few had paid but in fact in my initial haste I counted only their deposits.

Messages have been sent to them but if I do not receive a response in a reasonably short time I would have no choice but to sell their units for just what I am owed - $400 (since deposits were non-refundable) plus shipping.

Some have been notified as early as when balances due were originally being collected, but at least one of them was just notified today, so we should wait a reasonable time first since I am not actively shipping yet for another day or two.

In the meantime while lovingly handling my "babies" while building them, gazing over the shapes and contours, the contrasts between their sharp and rounded edges, their scooped-in bezel tops down around the UCL lenses and especially the gently elegant and gradual radiused tapering around the outside shoulders of their bezels as they went up to the front of the heads, it occurred to me just how aerodynamic looking these new body shapes are.  In fact I think it is safe to say that in a wind tunnel, this new design would exhibit significantly less drag than Cubs of old...

And so, at this time I would like to invoke builder's privileges and RE-christen our light the Aero Cub...yeah, that's it, sailing smoothly through the wind as they shall actually soon be doing, high up in the air during their maiden flights to you all - the new Aero Cub... :evil6:

Hmmm...how about some custom leather holsters?  Like in Pink Ostrich or somethin'?  Pitchers later...hee hee.

Note the extra units in the pitchers (48, yet only 45 were officially spoken for) - due to the unanticipated rise of costs over the span of this project these remaining units will be sold for $875 to any parties interested.

Thass muh story an' ah'm sticking to it...:evil6:
