modding suppliers

Hey guys;
  I am sort of a renoob to this game. The lights I have modded in the past were several years ago. Back when a Luxeon V was the shiznet. Now, many improvements have been made.

Where do most of you guys get your supplies for doing simple mods? I have been drooling over at the DX website, I have received some mixed reviews. Guidance and advice are always welcome.

I like the Sandwich Shoppe, but they are very limited in their description of their products.

Welcome p moore!

The Shoppe is probably the best place to get modding parts, definitely the fastest.  You're right, the part descriptions aren't very detailed.  I think most folks who order stuff from them have already researched the parts on the forums or asked other members.

I shop at DX, but only buy parts that I don't need in a hurry.  I temper my expectations with their products also.

I buy a lot from deal extreme - they are slow to ship but the prices are good!
