This thread highlights, explains, and provides a collective history of the beautiful creations of Mr. Bulk over the course of the past several years.  So much has been said about Mr Bulk's lights.  They are considered among the very best - and most beloved - customs in the world.  This thread is a group effort - I'm just starting it - so I ask that everyone participate with photos, commentary, personal favorites, etc. so we can make this as complete as possible.

A compilation from FF member shuter:

From shuter: "This chart is a work in progress.  It is an attempt to chronicle the more recent Mr. Bulk creations and list them on a quick reference chart.   Please consider this as a starting point or work sheet and list errors and ommisions including incorrect or incomplete nomenclature in a post.  We will update the chart periodically as information is input.

VIP Set with 2xAA tube, standard KC ("King's Crown") kroll tail, twisty tail (The VIP was my first custom light)  :D

The standard aluminum Chameleon came bead blasted.  This set was polished.

Mr. Bulk created the first-ever custom light made of damascus steel - the "DamCham"
Some of the DamChams were treated and high-polished in a blue nitre process by famed

OK, I'll start by pulling together the CUBmelion information hidden within my "New To Mr. Bulk" post.  I suspect it will generate some comments here.  I wondered why my three LionCubs did not have the knurling on the head like my black CPF Cub and started asking questions.  It looks like we found the answer.  They are Chameleon bodies with Chameleon heads and LionCub Control Modules sold October 2007 by Mr. Bulk.

Both of the original owners of the Bead Blasted Cubs I recently bought have responded with additional information.  Both were shipped by Charlie around the 1st of October 2007.  One was ordered by dmdrewitt on September 22, 2007 and shipped international about the first of October for $201.00.  The other one was purchased by herbsandspices and was shipped October 10, 2007.  They are Chameleons with the slim head with a LionCub interface.  Turns out the Supreme Galactic Commander had the makings for about two dozen of them and Christened the new hybrid the  CUBmeleon.   It would appear they are a fairly rare subspecies of Cubs.  Turns out I have two of them.   My chrome Cub may be a third.  It fits the paramiters but I have not yet been able to pin down the order/ship date.

There is a thread about it here.  Introducing The CUBmeleon... http://flashlight-forums.com/index.php?topic=5496.0

Anyone else have one of these?

No no, that's good info.  It absolutely belongs.  Anything and everything Bulk is welcome in this collaborative thread.  So far it seems you and I are the only ones who care at this point.  :dontknow:

No! No! This is a GREAT thread in the making - top idea guys. I care, just know nothing! All I can contribute for now are some arty pics of a dam-cham (soon to be nestling 'gainst an AeroCub :)).

Thanks Tim.  You're the only one to comment since I posted them.  Sadly, the only lights I still actually own are the lights/parts in the first two pics.  I've bought and sold so many Bulk lights over the years, but always come back to the Brass Cub and the Ti Chameleon as my keepers.  I'd really like to see this thread as a collection of everyone's pics, comments, favorites, but there is so little activity that I doubt the thread will materialize into anything useful.

I know what you mean, it's a shame we can't get more constructive posts here. I love threads like this, makes me realize what I am missing. I think I might have to start the brass cub search myself, it really is an awesome light. As far as I am concerned, the Bulk UI is the best EVER.
