MagCharger 5761
« on: January 11, 2008, 08:23:00 AM »
I just purchased a new MagCharger and I have a few questions.

  1) What other mods is needed to use the 5761 Phillips bulb?

  2) Will the stock battery handle the current draw?(I'd like to stick with the stock battery to keep cost down)
  3) Will the factory switch handle the current?

  Thanks for your help!  :)

fenix,

I hope I can answer that question... The magcharger is a fantastic choice of body and your 5761 will shine in it. The switch and custom plated reflector should come to no harm at all. The only changes you will require are battery, the MC pack has not got the grunt @ 2500ma. Look on 'battery junction.com' and find yourself some 3500-5000ma sub cells and make a pack up. I don't know if the MC charger will fill those monsters up to the full 5000ma however a good universal charger should help. The only other part I would change is the lens replacing with 2mm AR coating.

I am waiting for my battery delivery running the 5761 in a 2D however finding the battery converters is a real pain... Hope you enjoy the charger are you UK based? if so have you found a supply of 5761 mine cost 10 each  :o
