I scored a CRK mountaineer I!!  I picked one up locally for $150.  Brande new with sheath.  Not bad since Chris' price is $205.  Thumb Up

Well done.  I'll be sure and rip him a new one for that price gouging when I see him at SHOT.  laughing7

Being a gentleman, I'm walking away from that comment... Cool

CR Mountaineer  is  a FANTASTIC knife and that price! I did a lot of homework when designing my Outdoorsman Knife and the CR Mountaineer was high on my list of models to emulate. I have disagreed many years ago with him on the cylindrical handle concept and lack of indexing on some of his earlier pieces , other than that, his work is bomb-proof. The Buck I would buy, do gorgeous pics of it and sell it immediately at a profit. Some knives are likely to to go DOWN in value as they become relegated to the 'also-ran' column. That 'original' Rambo thing is one of them IMHO

Isn't there a new Rambo movie out?

That ought to be good for a commemorative re-issue or two.

I may trade the Mountaineer for a bigger CRK one piece, with a lil cashola (Or Atwood sweetness) added of course.

I saw the first post of this and was going to recommend a Wilkinson Sword Dartmore, but graciously bowed out.

I'm glad I did cos these look wicked PSM!

btw - I own, but here in suburbia am unlikely to need a WS Dartmore, interested in any views however.
