Lips I'm glad you received everything OK
The Ostars do run hot as you can see. I set the MaxFlex's up with thermal limiting set to 60 Degrees Celsius if this threshold is reached the light should throttle down to level 3.
Mac
I've been using this light everyday since it arrived.
It has retired my 1D Wa1111 incandescent light!
For short to medium range this multilevel light has an awesome user-interface combined with the output of a wall of light that would put the surefire U2 or the TW4 to shame... Runtimes that are tops in the 3 x 17670 arena and the led color is very nice. I had the light "back-down" to level 3 once when it got hot on extended runtimes, very nice. The heatsink definitely wicks the heat away to the body (more so to the switch area than the head of the light)...
The Ostar-Maxflex needs to be fitted to the KL3 or K2 Head for ultra cool combo...
I hope more parts arrive as this is one great tool of a light for say inspections or whatever.
You guys and gals will love this one... Only con I can see is no super low-levels but this is a powerhouse of a light anyway...
When I get time I'll have to shoot this out with the U2 and the M6 and the Rop lights...
MacQuestion: Did you use locktight on the Head threads as it is on there for sure! I wanted to use a couple of other 2 inch head designs I have. Any tricks to getting this thing aloose!
