« on: September 01, 2005, 01:04:26 AM »

As the nation witnesses the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, many are asking how they can help.

American Red Cross - Providing disaster services and relief.

Catholic Charities USA - Providing relief and recovery assistance.

America's Second Harvest - Providing food to victims.

If you go to Costco, you can donate money to the Red Cross through them.

I just wanted to ask people to be smart and selective where you donate...For example I can give $20 to the American Red Cross directly or I can also make a donation at a local grocery chain here in my home town that will also go to the Red Cross,  but they will match customer contributions up to $200,000 so my $20 just became $40 to the Red Cross.
