I noticed that the control knob looks like the V2 style.  Maybe a pre-production photo or are these different?  Does anyone know (Walter?) if Lighthound's lights are numbered?

Hi guys... well Lighthound got serial numbered units from this first production run - we don't have any non serial numbered units. John actually wanted V2's long time ago, than I was able to talk him into waiting and getting V3's so we could sell the V2's ourselves and make a very small profit to do some development for a potential V3 in return we told him that he can convert his V2 order to V3 to which he agreed... so his units are normal regular V3s with serial numbers of the first production run.
So you can get them there or on our site. Serial 1-200 are TI units. Serial 201 to 300 are Tuxedos and that's it for the Gat V3s..

Sorry about the ordering problem - it seemed like our shopping cart was down.

Should I use 3.0V RCR123 protected or 3.7V?

Already read #27 but still don't understand. Simple question, 3.0 or 3.7 rcr123 protected battery? Will I get low level with 3.7V?

The simple answer is go with protected 3.7 RCR123 battery. The low level is the same no matter what battery you are using. The only difference is the max brightness.

Playing around with a little homemade bounce flash. Work in progress I guess!

Gettin' there, Vic.  Those are nice shots.  See if you can shoot it without the plastic stand.

That's what I like to see on a forum - constructive criticism!

There's nothing like a shot of "Dust Off to get rid of that pesky lint on a close-up.  ;)
