Well, that proves it.  Thanks for the links, Mac.  Your pic here in the photo spread ("L2 on high") is, indeed, mislabeled.  I'm looking at the low and the bright of the L2 on your own photo links.

Nope nothing is mislabled....look again :)

I did 2 series of beamshots with the L2. One with LED lights so the exposure was longer so it looked brighter, then another with the High Power lights which is why it looks so dim. The camera was adjusted for the big boy lights, if the camera was adjusted to the L2 then the high power lights would have been completely blown out.

Sorry, Bill, not buyin'.  Your numbers are logical but the pic isn't.  The L2 puts out a brighter light than that which is represented by that photo.

That is exactly why I have such a hard time getting excited about any LED lights anymore.  I got one of those Fenix PD1-CE cree types, and it puts my L2 (high) to shame....but both are baby lights compared to my "real" lights....Maglites, & HIDs, & Elephants....Oh My!

Sorry Troy, the big hotwires just EAT UP those LED's!!

BUT...I do carry my Milky M180KL2 and M1 with Seoul because I find they do cover about 75% of what I use a light for. The A2 covers another 10%, then the big boys come out.

Bill, that was never in doubt.  Just the one pic of the L2 on high.

Just jazzin' you, Troy!

I've quit even trying to compare LED's with hotwires because ALL my pictures look like that!

Another way of saying it would be:

These shots were probably a little underexposed...

On a given "set" of Beamshots taken at the same manual settings, the beamshots may not show the actual brightness of a set of lights (higher or lower) but they will show the difference in brightness between the lights...

Or maybe I could be just full of it   :D

Actually, I think you're right on.  The exposure setting of the camera will have a different effect on the beam shot.

You wanted beamshots, well this is the best I can do.  Sorry they are a little shaky, no tripod so I had to hold the lights and camera as steady as I could leaning against a damn snow bank.  :rolleye:

Mac's The Torch, approx 4K Lumens

Nice shots EMack!   Criminals Beware...

Next time you go to the Neighborhood Watch Meeting, bring those light cannons with ya, they'll be putting you in charge!

Now that's some monster snow you guys get. We flip-out in LA when it snows an inch or we get a little sleet...    :sunny:

Yeah, its sort of hard to get all that excited about the Cree-vs-Seoul mania once you've had a chance to give the Big Guns a workout.  :violent5:

I think I NEED a USL....  Where's Bill anyway... :toothy12:
