And here you are thinking I would just saying something without merit just to boost my post count!

Give us back the clams (these days I sure could use a few!).

What  about a reunion tour?  Don't see a few of us around much more.  I am still allowing others to catch up with their post count - but I am reading every day via RSS and email.

Just new a working wallet, perhaps soon a job,

does anyone pay a working wage to post?

carpet bomb!

Hi Aten - long time no post -

Isn't the difference between your "rare" version is that it didn't get coated?

Regardless - I think that they were all machined in HI same as the hearts, cubs, and chammies...

Probably more details about what bulb or emitter you have and what power source you plan to use.

Long range has to do more with the reflector or optics in the light versus the source.  The original Inova X1 with optics was fantastic at spotting using only a 5mm (early generation) LED.  Of course with enough light you can do anything.  I would imagine a M@glite reflector will do the job - dependent on environmental factors.

oh man - that looks sweet. -

must resist!

Took the survery - the feature ranking question is broken btw.

Some of the questions should be a bit more open ended - espically here in the land of the $1000 flashlight.

Feel free to send me a pm or discuss here.

Anyway, good luck in your last semester at school - enjoy it while it lasts!

Hi outdoorguy883 and welcome to F-F - there are plenty of people who have the skills and still more that could give you the advice.  I would start by posting a photo (if possible) of what you have.  These days, depending on output desired, most of the modern LEDs will spank the P60/P90 and give the P91 a run for the money while saving on batteries.  In fact there may be stock LED headlamps that accomplish the same thing that had to be home-made just a few years ago.

Just start a new thread in the LED thread to see what everyone can contribute!

Good luck!
