What is that metal rod under the light?  Is that for attitude correction (non-aviation related)?

Looks cool and $$

That looks like a Rick Hinderer Kubaton Pen ?, it appears to have many uses, which is good as I hear Chronos don't read or write too good :P.

It is a titanium Hinderer kubaton... to debilitate and perhaps discipline someone... someone who knows better than to cut on Chronos.

Garage Sale / Re: WTB: Iphone (old 2G model, 8 gig)
« on: July 05, 2008, 09:34:20 PM »
Good luck.  I'd say you have NO chance to find one at that price, unless it's in poor cosmetic condition.

You do realize that 1st week in July a brand new 8 gig 3G Iphone will cost $200, right?
This is the subsidized price from the carrier. The phone costs far more than that. Typically a purchase at such a low, subsidized price means signing up for a contract for a specific period of time.

Having seen Macks bladefest I'm almost considering moving to the US just so I can carry some of what I own, on a daily basis.

Quality of lifestyle included, where would you guys suggest is the best place to live? Must a gentle peace loving place, with plenty of darkness, a good bar, pretty women, lots of landscape an' wildlife, a liberal attitude towards firearms and preferably some distance away from Mack and Chronos :P

I've lived in Reston VA, and NYC which frankly under-delivered. Any ideas?

Maine has an incredibly liberal attitude towards guns. Stunningly beautiful state, too. Pick up a summer home on the shore in Maine, and a winter place in Florida. Then all bases are covered. Issue: I may still be moving to Maine.

The issue with Florida: they already have an accent, and seem to constantly forget that the South lost in that little disagreement a few years back. This attitude is a little less prevalent in southern Florida vs. the panhandle and northern Florida. That's probably because 92% of the population in south Florida immigrated to the U.S. in the past two years. Another issue: I travel to Tampa extensively.

So I guess you're s**t out of luck with those two states, hods.

Thanks, Brandon!

Ummm... "Her needs changed"?  :icon_scratch:

Since when does exercising a Constitutional right have anything to do with need?

Unless you live in DC, that is.  But that's set to change any day now... :evil6:

Seriously though, never hurts to have the paperwork in place "just in case".

LOL A Constitutional right is sometimes interpreted differently at the State  level, no?  >:(

She left the job that she needed the CCW for. I seem to remember (back then, at least) that you needed to have a specific reason to be granted a CCW, and her job met those requirements (MD law). When she left the job prior to applying for the CCW, she lost the legal reason to apply.

A N T I C I P A T I O N Brandon! :) Must be killing you.

How did I miss this thread!?! Congrats PSM!

My wife attended a CCW class a number of years ago, completed, but then never applied as her needs changed. She picked up a stunning LadySmith  3913 that is almost ideal for CCW. I've fired it a few times and it is well balanced and quite accurate. She still has it locked away in the safe.

Lack of built-in memory expansion is a big negative.

No need to drink the Kool-Aid! Hell, I used to use "NeXtStep" computers before the new Apples were cool. My brother had an Apple IIC way back in the day (and still does), but we've never been rabid fans.

I'll probably pick up an unlocked one so I can continue to use T-Mobile.

I'm starting to get an itch for an iPhone.  OK, Mrs. Chronos already has the iRack. I just get to use it now and then.

Anyway, I've been using GSM phones now for years, and may finally pick up an iPhone to play with.
