It's probably only because I'm a foreigner that I escaped penalties for that. :P

Anyway now you know why I was so devastated!  It's a truly haunting experience I wouldn't wish on anybody.

It would be curious to redo a survey to see where, statistically the Bulk lights are in the world.  I know that AWTYD probably owns a 10% share in the lot (well at least in Brass LCs), but I still have a good stash over here in Germany.  Which reminds me that most of my rechargables are about toast and need to order a few sets of R123s and 150s when I get some extra $.  Saving now for the kids Christmas presents.

Still looking for a pair of pocket lights that I've misplaced in the house, Exolion Titanium and an Orb.  They will turn up somewhere.  Plus last week after going to the soccer stadium, I left an EDC Pentagon light across town at a friends house.  Now I just have to pry it out of his hands!
BINDI, congrats on finding it
GEO!!!! Hows it hanging?

Hi guys  lol  :)

Still trying to find gainful employment that puts me at (and preferably above) the poverty level.

It will be hard if Titanium hits Gold pricing - The Ti Queens might be facing a smelter! :rotflmao:

oh never mind.  I was only reading your last post.

You had misplaced a Franken-Cubbie?  Are there not civil penalties for such an act?

Hi all

Are you the same LED Zepplin over at CPF?

Hi Harry,

I also bought a N97 Mini late last year.  Been happy with it, but cleaned my E61 and am using it as well for work.  Bluetooth seems better on the N97 Mini PLUS I use the GPS all the time (free maps!).

Cheers!

M6 is a great light.  wish I could afford one!

I do have a lot of cheaper Asian produced stuff which does work for everyday use.  Don't expect 1 year of hard use, but don't care about wear and tear - better to have a $10-$30 light wear out or get busted than a $300 light.

OTOH, for a light that I keep for emergencies or for tactical use, it is something that is beyond question in quality.  Nothing like being stranded somewhere with a light that craps out due to inferior workmanship...

Mr. Bulk / Re: Price help on VIP, Lionheart, Lion Cub (all with accesories)
« on: February 20, 2011, 11:38:19 AM »
Blast from the past!  Nice to see ya checking in.

Here are my thoughts on absolute minimum values:

1) In your VIP, You have a Lion Head which should go with you Black Lion Cub.  For the other VIP set, I think it would be worth a minimum of $200.  You should be able to get a lot more for it if it is good condition - especially the finish.  The BBH (the large Head in the set) is rare and were in demand.

2) On the Nat HA Lionheart, again minimum value should be around $200.  Partial depends on which software the board has installed.

3) Lion Cub Package - partially depends on any modifications, which board, etc, I would place an absolute minimum at $275.  The extra 150 & 168 tubes are rare.

4) On the Black Lion Cub, they are a little harder to find, with the extra head pictured in set #1, I would place a minimum value at $350, especially with the 2 battery tubes.

5) Misc stuff - throw in the rubber battery caps with the tubes and I think those foam rings go with the VIP.  Looks like you have an extra LC reflector that would go with a LC kit.

These are all in the collector's market now.  Demand goes up and down on a lot of the bulk lights.  Since the cubs are easily upgradable, they can demand a lot more in value.

My minimum prices are based on trading value shortly after they were released.  The emitters are the only thing that don't really hold value as much.

I have similar to everything except I don't have a VIP set :( - I would not let them go for my minimum prices above unless I was homeless or about to be homeless.  Not to mention ROI if you would have put the money in the bank and inflation.

Others may disagree - maybe we can discuss it?

Welcome to F-F colorblend!

Things have been quiet around here as of late, but there are a lot of good projects in the sticky sections and members who know a lot and check in from time to time.

Can't want to see some projects!

Great to hear -

this winter, the C3 is getting a rest (I need new rechargeable cells) - so this year my main to carry lights have been a Pentagon L2 and a D-Mini.

As far as small backup lights, I am using my Nokia N97 has a dual LED flash and works great with a free flashlight app.  I use it for a flashlight more often than not as I always have it with me.

Getting itchy to sell some stuff this year - we will see!
