General Flashlight Discussion / HDS Flashlights..............

 :hello:
Just wondering who has an HDS. I've got one on the way. It's the HDS U60GT(guaranteed tint). I've read so much about these lights that I just had to have one. So if there are any other HDS owners out there, please chime in.

General Flashlight Discussion / Surefire U2 or Night Ops Gladius........
« on: December 02, 2006, 05:04:00 AM »
I'm thinking of getting one of these. I've read reviews on both and they seem pretty close in features and also price.

One thing about the Gladius is the finicky tail cap assy which has to be removed to change batteries. Does anyone know if this hard or easy to learn. I'm a quick study and always read instructions implicity.

On the other hand, the Surefire is easy when it comes to installing new batts. I have two Surefires.

Any and all comments and opinions will be greatly appreciated

Today I added two more lights to my collection. I think(I hope) I've made a wise decision.

1. Peak Caribbean
2. Surefire E1L

Of course, any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Hi
Just wondering what the consensus is here regarding CR123A batteries is.

1. Surefire
2. Duracell Ultra
3. Energizer
4. Other

Given these choices, which is the best.

Thanks

Don't know which one yet. In your opinion, which one is best. I kind of like the brass, but it develops a patina and therefore requires polishing. The stainless steel might be too heavy. The black has a more stealth look and that may be the one.

Decisions, decisions.

Hi
I've been reading a lot about this light and am seriously thinking of getting one.

Comments and opinions as well as other brands I should consider will be greatly appreciated.

My collection so far:
1. Surefire L4 Lumamax
2. Fenix P1
3. Fenix L1T

I'm also strongly considering a CR2 Ion and definitely will have a Fenix P1D CE.

Welcome and Introductions / New member here...........
« on: November 26, 2006, 08:28:24 PM »
Hi Group
I just found this site and joined   looks like a nice place to be a member.

I'm relatively new to the world of flashlights, so please bear with me if I make any mistakes.

My current collection is miniscule compared to others, but here it is:
1. Surefire L4 Lumamax
2. Fenix P1
3. Fenix L1T

I'm going to be adding more in the near future, most definitely a Fenix P1D CE and possibly a CR2 Ion and a Peak Caribbean.

I reside in Niagara Falls NY, and work for a plastics injection molding company(22 yrs).

I hope I can make positive contributions here, and also learn a lot.
