I have sugar coated Chameleons dancing each night in my dreams lately.

You know - I figure I better be a more active member of this community.  This way if I were to win it, less people would be pissed that some newbie (correction - lurker who reads a bunch) who no one ever heard of won this fine piece of engineering.

I have some bit of a Titanium pedigree though... My wedding ring is stamped out of aircraft grade titanium from a machine shop, my skis have a titanium topsheet and the keyring / bottle opener that I have carried for the last 10 years is made out of titanium.

As far as flashlights go though - I still have to live vicariously through the ridiculous amounts of light that most of you are able to produce. . .

This is very exciting.  I know it would be better to save my money and get a decent light for sure than to throw it away in a raffle, but I could not resist!  I feel like one of those people who got a debit card from FEMA and spent the money on a Tattoo or something.

Oh well - I can't WAIT for Saturday either way.  Good luck to everyone and thanks for making me feel welcome here.

Sorry to ask - but what is a "BAM!"?

Well thanks again for including me on the raffle.  I will have to start building my collection the old fashioned way....I'll build it.

Yeah right - baby steps.  I have to figure out what to spend my hard earned doh on.  Congratulations David!

What line of work are you in buddy?

I like to think of myself as a professional problem solver.  The thing that keeps the lights on though is working with insurance companies in their claims departments.  I go in to different companies and look at their operations and suggest ways to reduce costs, speed up service and improve the overall interaction with their customers.  Most of what I do is related to eliminating paper from their processes, but really I work in many different areas.

No real need for flashlights in that though.

Howdy all,

Thought I would introduce myself.  I am pretty darn green when it comes to this stuff so besides using the search function and reading a lot, I might be asking some fairly stupid questions.  I'll do my best to keep that to a minimum though.

I bring an open mind, an appreciation for achievement, and genuine interest in great flashlights to the forumn although very little in actual expertise.  Hopefully I can contribute to the comunity in other ways as time goes on.  In general my focus will be on LED based lights and what they are capable of.

Othewise I am a small business owner living in Southern California.  I spend my time and any spare money skiing and try to get 30-40 days a year.

Thanks for welcoming me to this place and see you around.

Wow super cool!  I have my number in and have my fingers crossed.

I went to the lighthound site to see what kind of company sponsors this sort of thing.  Pretty neat site.  I will have to recommend them.
