Hey Gary, this one's for you - real live action K9.

Yeah...French GIPN with their Belgian Malinois...  Good video (in the long cut)..right up to where the K9 bites the handler and holds on... :-[

Oh that must be the 'Mal' in Malinois, haha. Well at least they got the bad guy first right? Can't see if they secured the weapon though.

KMA, what no turkey for Christmas?  :-[

Here's some of what I had during Chinese New Year's Eve dinner and New Year's Day lunch.  :P

The dinner table spread.

Babi and ayam Pongteh (Pork and chicken stew with potatoes cooked in a rich and fragrant spice and coconut milk gravy)

Steamed grouper with chopped spring onions and chili

Sauteed Prawns cooked in tomato and onion sauce

Soup with fish maw, pork balls, fish balls, squid balls and Chinese mushrooms

Mixed stir-fried vegetables

'Yu Sheng' (Mixed sliced radish, carrots, dried fruits, peanuts, crackers, etc with raw salmon, spices and sweet and sour sauce)

The steamboat lunch spread with sliced abalone, beef, pork, fish, vegetables, meatballs, fishballs, fish maw, vegetables & tofu stuffed with fish meat, shrimp and meat dumplings, chinese and button mushrooms, cheese sausages, cheese tofu - all cooked in chicken stock and served with rice and spinach noodles.

I got back from my vacation to Hong Kong last week. These are some of the foods I ate.

I just recovered from some really bad food poisioning.  :puke: :pottytrain5:  :pottytrain3: I had very bad stomach cramps that took me around 9 days to recover from.

Sorry to hear about your food poisoning but hope you had a good vacation anyway. How do you know it was the fish that did it? What's that white mushy stuff on top of it? Strange that fried fish would give you food poisoning unless the fish was tainted or off. Did you try the roast duck?

Right when I ate the deep fried fish it felt like there were bones in it and it felt like it got stuck in my stomach where later I started to feel the pain. I drank some tea and beer to see if I could "push" down the fish. It felt like the fish went down but I felt a dull pain where eventually it got worse later that night.

The "white mushy stuff" was the same fish that was steamed.

Hmm, did you see a doctor about it? Hopefully the bones didn't perforate anything in your gut or stomach!  >:( :o

The dragon fruit also come in pink or red flesh versions. They are fairly sweet enough not to have to add sugar haha.  :P I think they are actually a kind of cactus fruit.

Nice lotus flower too verbie.  :)
