Title: Auction/Raffle for a Random TITANIUM Thing
Post by: regentag on April 17, 2008, 06:43:45 AM
Guess, and win Titanium!

It's simple enough...

... but not necessarily easy!  ;)

Official Rules: (0) If you have posted elsewhere on F-F prior to 17-April-2008 and you post the first correct guess here - you win.  Everyone else loses. (a) The Titanium "prize" and its method of selection is my call. Trust me, you'll like it. (iii) Your guess may or may not be subject to scrutiny by the judges, and the judge's decision is final.

Cheers,

I went with option "C" - it is always option "C".

I didn't know you had that special light that I've always wanted Titanium coated for me! ;)

Take care!

Whilst initialy attracted to the contradictory nature of "All of the above" I have waivered and am going with "None of the above" as it seems to offer more potential outs.

I'm partial to wacky Ti giveaways so I may have an advantage.

It's obviously a Ti Sun Parasol.

I was going to take a punt at the headset from the "Anti-Kenster Suit" which is both  impervious to sarcasm and overzealous use of emoticons but is wholly receptive to random acts of generosity.

However as I'm yet to even develop, let alone patent this creation I'll go with some fancy-pants, new fangled clip, in Ti, on a pen, or something :rolleye:.

Now where's my prize! :P

A vacuum or Nixie tube.

Now we're getting somewhere.

It is indeed a vacuum tube.

Keep going...

* The unique nature of this particular tube makes it possible to precisely identify it from photo.

Rats!  It's sold out.

I could really use a spoon that drips and a fork without tines.

Cheers (http://www.backcountrygear.com/catalog/stovedetail.cfm?PRODUCTS__ProductID=SN3355),

The truth is... I had heard of it and I had one (of course).

Gave it away ages ago in favor of the Snow Peak Ti utensil set.

Sporks are awful concoctions.

Cheers,

but it also could be a voltage regulator tube with neon in it.

edit  :

i must say that it does not look like the 4CX1000A that was in my Collins 30S-1
a.t.

Well then it must a pulse modulator tube with a titanium filament from an Invecteon2000 electro-transmogrifier v.2.0.3

Just to further clarify the first post...

You win Titanium, but there is no Titanium in the vacuum tube (that I know of).

Aw durn, got thrown by the red herring, so it then it must be an earlier pulse modulator tube with a tungsten  filament from the Invecteon1999 electro-transmogrifier v.1.0.5.
