Thanks for the opportunity.  I don't know of many retailers who would volunteer something like this to anyone!  I have also been very impressed with Lighthound's customer service and would/will definitely order from them again.

I've been turning on a number of my knifemaking buddies to the world of high-end flashlights...and when they ask where to go for more info, I send them to three places, FF, CPF,...and Lighthound.com.

John does it the way it's supposed to be done.  If only more retailers could be like him.

Thanks John!!!

Today's Latest... UPDATE.
Here's the review - less color target and beam shots. We're swampled so those will have to wait about a month.
Thanks and your CONSTRUCTIVE corrections, opinions etc are always welcome!
http://www.imagometrics.com/FLReviews/FENIX_LOP.htm

With identical batteries in them, the TNC Keylux 1W 1AAA Vs Fenix LOP 1W 1AAA informal runtime test results.
-Both lights are about as bright as each other out of the starting blocks
-After 60 minutes both diminish to around 50% and are still on par with each other.
-At 90 minutes both drop sharply to around 30% of MAX
- At 2 hours the LOP is at around15% and the Keylux is at 25%
- at 7 Hours the LOP is at around 10% and the Keylux is at 20%.
Given the crudeness of my test method, and relative ignorance of the fine details of the engineering going on, I'd informally say that
the converter in the Keylux is clearly more efficient at delivering a flatter discharge curve after 'the big drop' that makes it's output twice that of the Fenix LOP - this evidenced by the twice as bright output after 5 or 6 hours.
This doesn't mean a whole lot in real world use where the typical customer may use such lights for a minute or two at a time and battery bounceback makes diminishing illumination levels a long term issue, but for long-run emergencies and getting the optimum performance from a battery- the Keylux clearly has an advantage.
When you factor in price points and availability- the Fenix LOP is the clear value leader. If absolute color fidelity is critical, the Keylux takes that cake.
Bottom line- the Keylux is still the Benchmark 'safe queen' and the Fenix LOP is my new Keychainlight !!! ...untll I receive my Nano... whenever THAT will be  :'(
-----
UPDATE. We just finished the Photoshoot and trials on the LOP
What a great keychain/pocket light. The LOP is like an embryonic Longbow Mini in size and form.
- It's waterproof to at least 8'
- Feels lovely in your hands due to a satin smooth Anodizing. Seems to be HA III.
- Anodizing color is lovely. Seems like Anthracite in tone
- Excellent fit and finish. I re-emphasise this
- Gorgeous beam. Upon close inspection, the reflector is one of those computer designed jobs- You can see concentric rings. Nice broad hotspot and a corona that covers around 75º.A very Smoooth beam
- LED color is very acceptable. Slightly Blue-ish biased but not unpleasantly so. Remaining fall leaves stand out nicely against the ground. I can read a newspaper by it etc.
- This sucker is bright! It stands up very admirably against the benchmark 1W X 1AAA light, the venerable TNC Keylux AAA. In fact the LOP appears to have  a brighter hotspot than the Keylux AAA. That perception is probably due to the extra blue exciting our retinas. Its throws like the Keylux but has a broad context inclusive beam window. Make this baby with Clear Ano, Titanium color, Red, Blue Green and Teal Ano and you could sell tons of them to Women as well as us DUDES. This is the Keychain light for everyone.
- On/Off activation is Smoooooooth as Silk!
- Tailpiece is a dream! Allows for ceiling bounce upright posture on flat surfaces with attached split ring and yet the ring swings away nicely for lanyard or keychain attchment.
- I was amazed to find the LOP actually shorter and narrower than the KeyLux AAA ! I don't have a Solitaire to compare it to by I'm guessing it's closer in size to a Solitaire than the Keylux is.
- Obviously, time will tell us more about the longevity of contacts, threads etc. The inclusion of a spare 'O' rings is a thoughtful touch.
- The packaging is so nice, I'll probably pick up a dozen to give away as gifts this coming Christmas.
So the only thing I would like to see different in this light is the LED options to a neutral or warmer BIN. But my eyes will never know the difference if my Brain doesn't say a word   about it 8)
I'm really tempted to use it instead of my current EDC keychain light, but I'm much more likely to use it as my Dress light. You know- suite & tie.  Now I really want to see an L1P+ or whatever it's called.
Full review forthcoming with pix- of course. THANKS JOHN !!!!
Aten
---------------

I have good news-  please take me off the raffle list-  I'm #56.
Lighthound was kind enough to send us a review sample.
1st impression is "WOW" !
- Fabulous fit and finish
- Nice bright beam for a Solitaire sized light
- Lovely clean beam profile with snappy bright hotspot
- Blue-ish biased which I prefer to cyan biased beam color
- Much wider corona angle than the comparable TNC Keylux AAA
- Perfectly smooth and sure twist switch
- Excellent tail-standability
- Nice split ring/snap - keyring solution
- Gorgeous presentation packaging
- Tactile 'stealth' black anodizing
- Thoughtful and very useful gift premium (Photon lock-switch clone)
- Fast shipping
- Excellent CRM
Short Wish List
- A light this nice deserves to be offered in 3 or 4 other ano colors plus clear ano Aluminum
- Terminal hardware should match the light or be black. If Streamlight Keymate can do it- Fenix can do it.
- I would love to see a warm white and more neutral BIN LED in there. This light is worth the extra cost of a less Blue BIN
Quick rating - 4.95 Stars !
Well done Fenix & Thanks Lighthound!

Just wanted to add that the "Thoughtful and very useful gift premium" in Aten's review is a Lighthound thing, not a Fenix thing.

Hmm. It'd be great to win one of these. I want one but being broke and without employment prevents me from enjoying the lumeny goodness on my keychain!

Raffle's ending soon. As soon as BraddahBill rings the bell it's over and the drawing can commence.

I'm not in charge of the drawing (I'm a participant so obviously I can't draw), so I will leave it up to the good hands of those who are. Actually this is an interesting thought, because I don't even know WHO, or WHAT is doing the drawing :icon_biggrin:

OK, gotcha. Every one of the entries is timestamped (I can see them) and entries after this date will no longer be accepted. So if you're holding out, there's no need to.. get yours quickly!!!!!! DON'T wait till the last minute!

oh, Oh oh. I forgot to update all of you on this. The number pickers and I had a good argument over the cut and we figured that there just wasn't enough to go round from the two misers, so they took their revenge upon both of you :rotflmao:
